So what about Comixology Unlimited? It costs $5.99 a month and gives you access to a regularly refreshed library of graphic novels and comics - some classic, some new, from a wide variety of comic publishers. With Marvel in its wheelhouse, is Comixology now a must buy? Comixology It's also the only place you can binge Star Wars comics (both the fantastic current series and all the classic titles). For the money, and if you're a Marvel (or Star Wars) fan, there's no better deal in digital comics.

There's even curated reading lists each week, usually focusing on current comic media crossovers (like Black Panther or Runaways) as well as creator/comic industry favorites. Plus, the app has sections so that you can catch up on characters that you like and lets you deep dive into classic and modern crossover events (helpful if you need to catch up on your Thanos mythology before next year's Avengers movie). Would I have purchased it at the store? Nope.). The truly "unlimited" aspect means that I can read titles that I never would have bought in the past without worrying that I was wasting my money (did I enjoy Loki for President? You bet I did. They're penned by by top writers and illustrated by even better artists (ignoring anything traced by Greg Land). In that time I've discovered that The House that Stan Lee Built is putting out some of the best comics in its storied history.

I've read more Marvel comics in the past three years with Marvel Unlimited than I have in my past 30 years of reading comics altogether.

And when you can read every crossover title for a big Marvel event (like the just-released Secret Empire), rather than having to buy a bunch of issues for comics you don't usually care about, it's well worth waiting. It's slightly frustrating having to avoid comic spoilers for half a year, but, believe me, it can be done. Marvel Unlimited is still just $5.83 per month (billed annually at $69) and gives you access to over 20,000 digital comics (3,000 more than last year), from the 1960s all the way to six months prior to the current week (you can even upgrade to a premium package and get cool limited-edition pins, comics, and action figures). Where else are you going to get a dapper Tony Stark action figure? Nowhere.
